Buddha Vandana - Homage to the Buddha

Iti pi so Bhagavâ Araham Sammâ sambuddho
Such indeed is the Blessed One, Exalted, Omniscient,
Vijjâ-carana sampanno Sugato Lokavidû
endowed with knowledge and virtue, well-gone, Knower of the worlds,
Anuttaro Purisa-damma-sârathi
an Incomparable Charioteer for the training of persons.
Satthâ deva-manussânam
Teacher of gods and men
Buddho Bhagavâ-ti
Enlightened and Happy

Buddham jivita-pariyantam saranam gacchâmi
Until life's end, to the Buddha I go for refuge

Ye ca Buddhâ atitâ ca - Ye ca Buddhâ anâgâtâ
Those Buddhas of the ages past, those Buddhas that are yet to come,
Paccuppanna ca ye Buddhâ - Aham vandâmi sabbadâ
those Buddhas of the present time, forever do I revere.

Natthi me saranam aññam - Buddho me saranam varam
No other refuge do I seek, the Buddha is my refuge true;
Etena sacca vajjena - Hotu me jaya mangalam
by the speaking of this Truth, may peaceful victory be mine!

Uttamangena vandê'ham - Pâda pamsu varuttamam
I revere with my head, the dust on His holy feet;
Buddhe yo khalito doso - Buddho khamatu tam mamam
if the Buddha I have wronged may the Buddha forgive me.
